December 2005 Updates

12.25.05 - A little something...

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and all that Jazz. Sorry for going almost the whole month without another update, but I've been busy.

Anyway, today I bring you thirty-four scans from Fullmetal Alchemist's Volume 0: 4Koma. This is a special little manga that came with the special edition of volume 12, it's a complete gag comic. You know those little four panel comic strips at the back of FMA's volumes? Well, that's all this book consists of.

Some are old from the Perfect Guides and such, but there are also a ton of new ones. Arakawa canon crack is what it is, basically. Since it just came out a little over a month ago, there should still be some out there. I got mine at Yesasia, but I think Akadot also carries it.

...and that's it. I may update before the end of the year, but I'm not sure. We'll see. ;)

12.02.05 - Fullmetal Alchemist and some Black Cat...

Man, the year's almost over. I swear, I've been terrible with updates for the second half of the year. Oh well, better no updates than a hiatus, eh? I changed the layout again, we're back with FMA. I liked the DGM one and all, but the header was too big for my tastes.

This layout features Edward Elric from the Fullmetal Alchemist manga. The images on the left side of the header are from chapter 43 (which would be in volume 10) during Ed's nightmare. The ones on the right hand side are from chapters 51 and 52, which will be in volume 13 when it's released sometime next year.

I don't think it spoils anything, although there were some nice parts of chapter 53 I would like to have used, but that would have been rude of me (tons of huge things happen in that chapter). I used a texture from Freed Wings, a new site I found with some nice goodies to use. Go check it out if you need textures and such.

As for the update, I added 13 scans for the Fullmetal Alchemist Comic Special Calendar 2006. There's some new illustrations, as well as clean chapter, GanGan, and novel covers. It's very nice, you can get a copy at Yesasia. I also added 14 scans for chapter 39 of the Fullmetal Alchemist volume 10 manga. I'll finish up that chapter later on, FMA has long chapters.

...and for the final part of the update, I added 11 scans for the Black Cat Matatabi Character Book. A good amount of them are two page spreads, so it's actually for 16 pages.

Finally, I went through and made a tally of the total images on the site. It's been a while since I've done this, so it's a bit over do. Here's the break down:

Content original to the site is now double than stuff found off the net. Actually, it's been ages since I've added content that I didn't scan or screencap myself. I've considered deleting all that stuff, but I still get emails with people saying they like it. Guess I'll just leave it up in the archive, but I don't think I'll add stuff that I didn't create anymore. ^_^
