February 2004 Updates

2.29.03 - IY back online again again...

Yeah, it's back online. Bandwidth is much better now that it's only available every other week. Before I did this bandwidth was close to 50 GB/month, this month it'll be around 35 GB. So please take it easy on downloading a ton of images this week, okay?

I seperated the manga group section into two sections, now the color and black & white illustrations are seperate. The whole manga section is now much more organized and I removed all pics that were the same illustrations from my artbook scans. If you're looking for those images, go to the artbook scans page for my versions.

Well, that's it for today. I may or may not update the site this week. I have a lot of studying for midterms so I may not. Oh well, later!

2.22.03 - IY offline again...

Yep, it's offline again. If you're a regular visitor you know why. If not, then please read the updates for February 1, 2, and 6.

2.19.04 - Saikano section updated...

I finally updated the Saikano section with 57 new manga images. Sorry for the first real updating for this section taking so long, I just haven't gotten around to it. Now there are 195 manga images and 51 anime images. I looks like the manga is going to start being released in June by Viz with the anime being released in April. You can read about it by clicking here. Once the anime's released I plan to buy it and start making screencaps for the whole series. It's only 13 episodes, so it shouldn't be to much trouble. ^_^ I'm almost done with the cleaning up of the Inuyasha manga section. I'm dividing the group section into both color illustrations and black and white images. The manga section is around two-thirds of the whole IY section. I'm also updating the section with roughly 200 images, I didn't keep count on how many there were. Well, that's it for today. Yeah I know, I'm a manga freak. :P

2.15.04 - IY back online

Well, IY is back online. The manga section is still offline because I'm cleaning the section up and haven't gotten around to uploading it. The IY section will be offline again next Sunday (February 22 - 29). Screencaps are still offline.

I might make those updates for the other parts of the site this week, it all depends on how busy I am. Well, that's it for today. Later!

2.8.04 - Quick Note

Just a quick note to tell you that the Inuyasha section is now offline. It wil return on February 15, please read the last few posts for details.

2.6.04 - Let me make something clear

People seem to think I'm about the delete the Inuyasha section, I'm not. Bandwidth has been a problem the past few months and the Inuyasha section is the cause of it. Therefore, I'm only going to have the section online every other week. For example, it's online this week. It came back online on February 1st and will go offline on February 7, and so on. I need to state that Inuyasha is not the only series on thedbarchives.com!, and I'm not going to let it affect the rest of the site. If I don't take it offline every other week, the site will be suspended by my host for going over it's bandwidth limit.

I had said that if bandwidth problems continued to worsen even after the every other week bit, then I'd cut IY. I've already downsized the section, so there's not too many options. I have thought of having the section consist of only my scans and screencaps, which I could do. I don't know, we'll see. So, don't come crying to me. Sorry about sounding that way, but this is my site and I'll run it the way I see fit.

2.2.04 - Hmm...

I have decided that the Inuyasha section will be available every other week. It's visitors use entirely too much bandwidth, more than what all the other sections on the site use. By more I mean double! The section has 1,500 images, which is a lot less than what it had a year ago. A year ago it had close to 5,000, so I don't know why it's using so much bandwidth.

Anyways, that's just how it's going to be I guess. I love the series, but I understand why Adult Swim called its rabid fans 'The Spawn of Satan'. If it gets bad enough, I will cut the section. So, if you don't want this to happen, don't download a ton of images!

2.1.04 - It's February!

Well, Inuyasha is back online (minus screencaps). Cutting it last week really helped things. We finished 6 gigs below the limit! If IY had stayed online...it would have gone over days ago. I'm considering only having Inuyasha online every other week, it's kinda becoming necessary. I'm going to see how things go this week and then I'll make my decision on the matter.

I'm going to making those updates I mentioned in the last post probably this week. I hope you'll like them. Anyways, that's it for tonight (it's only a little after Midnight). I may update the site later today, but I don't know. Oh well, later!
