thedbarchives.com's Image Policy

Actually, there really isn't much of one. I decided to make this page because people keep asking me if it's alright to use images from this site. Okay, here's the basic breakdown of my policy on image usage.

- NO HOTLINKING! Also called direct linking, this is when you have a website and have your image source code like this: <img src="http://thedbarchives.com/image.jpg">

It's blocked anyway, so the image you want shown on your site will be broken.

- Anything labeled screencaps or scans were made by me, credit is appreciated if you use a good amount of images. Use common sense here, you should know what a good amount of images is.

- The only images that I actually care about credit for are for splices. A splice is when the source image is really big, so I have to scan it in pieces and then put it together in Photoshop. This process entails having to fill in the gaps on some with the clone tool, which can take quite a while and patience. Some can take from one to several hours to complete. Hence the reason why I care about credit for my effort.

Splices on this site include the Fullmetal Alchemist, D.Gray-man, and Inuyasha calendars. Select images from the Fullmetal Alchemist manga artbook that have two page numbers in their file names, and the color illustrations from the Black Cat Matatabi.

Sections on the site not labeled Scans or Screencaps were not made by me, but were collected around the net. Over the years I have greatly decreased the amount of net collected images on the site, and now primarily add my own scans and screencaps. So, anything not labeled scans or screencaps do not require you to credit me. I've noticed that people do so anyway, but just take note that you don't have to.
